1 kg (2 Lbs) Chicken cut into medium sized pieces 250 gms (0.5 Lbs) onions finely chopped 1 tablespoon ginger paste 1 tablespoon garlic paste 1 tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp chilli powder 3 cloves 6 each black and white pepper (whole) 4 green chillies chopped 2 big cardamoms 200 gms ( 0.4 Lbs) yogurt 1 tsp garam masala 1 tsp Pulao masala 2 tsp Rose water 4 bay leaves 1 tsp sugar Salt to taste 1. Marinate the chicken with ginger, garlic, yogurt, pulao masala and salt for 4 hours. 2. Heat oil in a pan and add bay leaves and sugar to the oil. 3.Add onion to the mix and fry till it becomes golden brown. 4. Add the marinated chicken to the mix and fry for 5 minutes. 5. Close the lid of the pan and steam for 10 - 15 minutes till the chicken becomes tender. 6. Do not add water. 7. Joynagar er Moa

Joynagar er moa (Moa of Joynagar) is one of popular sweet in Bengal. This Bengali sweet available during winter season. The village Joynagar is in the district of South 24 Parganas of West Bengal, 50 K.M. South of Kolkata. At first the Sugar mixed with molasses (Nalane) is boiled. When the boiled mixture becomes cool then the "Kankanchur Paddy" is mixed with the mixture slowly.The sweet scented "Nalane" molasses is poured on it and the entire materials is covered. After some time, the materials are mixed with Ghee & Cardamon. Thereafter the 'Moya' is prepared in round shape of different sizes by hand
